The Flute New Music Consortium is an organization with the shared mission of promoting new music for the flute by commissioning works, organizing simultaneous premieres, and encouraging repeat performances. Dr. Robinson co-founded FNMC and serves as the Vice President and composition competition coordinator. Recently, she helped to launch the Composer Mentorship Program, which connects composers from under-represented groups with active performers to create new works, performances, and recordings of those works. |
Established in 1998, this Joplin-based opera company describes its mission as bringing opera performances to the Four State area, including Missouri, Kansas, and Oklahoma. HOT engages national performers, but also strives to support exceptional local artists from the surrounding community. In addition to performing with the HOT orchestra, Dr. Robinson joined their board in Fall 2020. |
The Oklahoma Flute Society was created to benefit anyone who loves the flute, and offers opportunities for students, teachers, and professional players. Dr. Robinson has served on the board since 2015, and presently serves as the Commission Chair and Competitions Coordinatory. |
